Radhika Yadav Murder: Tennis Player Dreamt of Freedom Abroad, But Father Refused — Shocking Chats Reveal Family Tensions (Image Source: Social Media)
New revelations are surfacing in the investigation of tennis player Radhika Yadav’s murder case in Gurugram. In this case, the police will record separate statements from each family member. Their statements will be analyzed to determine what facts emerge regarding the murder. The police will also investigate how long disputes were ongoing in the family and what their root cause was. Radhika’s mobile phone and social media accounts are also under investigation.
So far, discussions in the Radhika Yadav case have included villagers questioning her father Deepak Yadav over her tennis training, her making video songs with Inamul Haq, her desire for inter-caste marriage, and disputes that led her to consider leaving home to live elsewhere.
How much truth lies in these topics will only be confirmed after the police complete their investigation. Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar said that statements from the deceased’s family members will be recorded and the case will be examined based on those statements.
It has also come to light that tennis player Radhika Yadav wanted to go abroad. WhatsApp chats between Radhika and her coach Ajay Yadav have surfaced on social media.
Radhika had told her coach that she was fed up with the restrictions at home and wanted to live an independent life. She wanted to go to Dubai or Australia for this.
Radhika had planned to go abroad around October–November, but her father Deepak did not give her permission. In a WhatsApp chat, Radhika told her coach Ajay that there were too many restrictions here and she wanted to enjoy life.
Coach Ajay had suggested she go to China, but Radhika declined due to concerns about food. However, her growing financial independence and dedication to tennis training had upset her father Deepak Yadav.
Deepak’s brother Vijay said that both the family and the police repeatedly asked him why he did it, but Deepak remained silent. Vijay Yadav further said that while at the police station, Deepak told the officers, “Write my statement and FIR in such a way that I get the death sentence.”
Tennis player Radhika Yadav did not own her own tennis academy. She used to book tennis courts at different locations to train players. Near the Sector-56 police station, she rented a court built on government land to coach players. Her father, Deepak Yadav, used to stop her from giving training at the tennis academy. Despite her father’s objections, Radhika continued coaching players. This was one of the reasons for the ongoing conflict between the two.
After the incident of Radhika being shot, it was revealed that Deepak Yadav had allegedly spent around ₹1.25 crore to open a tennis academy for his daughter. However, police investigation could not confirm the existence of any such academy.
A groundman named Sandeep from a private tennis academy stated that Radhika had spoken to him normally last Wednesday. She had messaged him in the morning and evening about the tennis court.
On Wednesday night, Radhika messaged the groundman asking if the court would be available to play on Thursday morning. The groundman replied that the court wasn’t available. Meanwhile, Dr. Manoj, who was Radhika’s physiotherapist, said that she wanted to make a big name in the sport and that playing at Wimbledon was her dream.
